Kabir Singh is a Disaster
If i have to choose amongst the cult movies of Bollywood ( by not comparing with Arjun Reddy ) I would Prefer
Anurag Kasyap 's Dev D or Dilip Kumar's Devdas.
The concept of using the Language Punjabi is what I loved the most as this is one such language which expresses emotions so bluntly strongly with a lot of love.
1. KS' that special wild anger is not r-eally wild, uninteresting, no intensity and not satisfactory - i guess my In laws have had seen better wildness, anger, love and passion of mine when I was personally fighting for my Love. 🙄🙄
2. Love making between lovers, this Man loves even to kiss his interest's bro as her chotu looks like her, has to be divine and evolving - this looks d-umb, no spirit at all. 😜😜
3. The lady neither looks naive nor stubborn coz after all her character has two beautiful emotional faces to perform in the beginning and end of the story, same face, same expression- boring. 😕😕
4. KS is Manly, loving, very caring, warm, Passionate, high Spirited Surgeon who is too clear in his truth and goes ahead and at one point becomes so controlled due to the ill fate and becomes so self destructive to end up his agony of bad fate done with his own hands - Nope Shahid is not only Manly, his acting was neither lovely, no warmth, no self destruction finally i didn't even feel dehydration also. But I really loved an Etch mark Shahid gets on his lower lip due to over smoking is super sexy. 😉😉
5. Finally, I am not really convinced with his passion of drinking alcohol, no pain in his smoke or one night stands or coccaine - Dev in Dev d took better in all the ways bro - just chill 🙄🙄🙄 So many Unwanted characters, No value for casting, Songs, I think bolly wood produced better songs.

ut jilted lovers - those who loved and lost and crashed!! Atleast Bollywood suggests so.. Devdas has worked right from Dilip Kumar Saahab's black and white version to Shahrukh Khan's multicolored razzmatazz. Even the offbeat 'Dev D' (2009) got its share of followers. The paying public love to see self destructive fellas drowning their 'gham' in alcohol. Kabir Singh (Shahid Kapoor) is this same olè Devdas dude. Only he is a surgeon (a merit ranker no less) who successfully performs complex operations even when sloshed. The last drunk surgeon I had seen in a Bollywood film was Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in Mehul Kumar's horrendous 'Mrityudaata' (1997).

Well cinematically speaking ... The movie is very bad.. for every other reason like misogyny, toxic masculinity etc...I'll give it a chance...
After all, just recently we have been told that it's OK to normalise a convicted terrorist, spoilt brat, womaniser and drug addict in the name of cinema... OR .. so we were told that a woman can murder seven men in a movie and the actress and director will be hailed as cinematic genius... OR its OK when Hindu Gods run around like fool and mocked like jokers coz after all its cinema...
So I'll give it a chance there .. But to call this movie anyway near good cinematically, will be a crime... First things first...
Trailers and songs are good.. I thought it'll be a different movie.. the old rage and arc of a strong male character like there in pre PC world... So I expected some good emotional sensational cinema.. What movie really is a stinking, huge pile of dump, which this out control, low IQ, alcoholic, cocaine snorting narcissist of a 'hero' takes on all the viewers and their sensibilities for about 90% of the movie time... - action sequences are damp.. very poorly choreographed.. the built up or rage, profanity comes to knot when actual action happens... Poorly framed dialogues take out the punch from the punches.. and this brief fist fight doesn't require slow mo... Very poor.. all gas...
